War thunder vs world of tanks meme9/11/2023 ![]() * View Distance- WoT has a view distance which beyond a certain distance tanks disappear, where in reality you would still be able to see them. * Map Size- Generally, WoT has smaller maps with a few prevalent collision-conflict chokeholds that can be relatively learned quickly. ![]() You can supply your tank with mechanical, crew, and anti-fire aides. * Damage- Damage results mostly in a health loss, with infrequent mechanicals, injured crew members, and onboard fires. The difference between these games is drastic. I have about 100 tanks in WoT up to the top tier 10. I recently started WT and am at the bottom tier of tanks. ![]() I have a lot of experience with WoT, have many tanks, quit about 3 years ago, but recently restarted playing it mostly to use as comparison with WT. Here is my latest summary after playing 2 weeks of War Thunder: If the enemy is hard to kill, try to flank it or simply to avoid to engage until better conditions (more support, enemy turret or hull turn, lure to chase you, etc) Engage when odds are for you, not against you (while you should engage if it will help other team members, if you die to save several team members, even as simply a distraction, it was good trade) When and how to retreat (terrain and smoke is your friend, both near you or near the enemy) know the terrain/maps (some tanks excel in some spots or tactics, using the terrain) ![]() know your tank (both hard points and weak spots) A good player on the other side can make your live even harder, and a team effort on either side can win a game Some tanks are harder to be killed, all of then have weak spots that you must exploit. flank it, shooting the tracks to avoid it to keep turning to you and get to the side and finish it. people with knowledge know that almost all tanks can only kill the commander in the cupola and nothing else. people with no knowledge will keep trying until they are dead. The tortoise is one of the biggest examples, most tanks will be unable to do any damage to it in bead to bead attacks. You have to learn the other guy weak spots and get the skill to understand that your tank will have problems in head to head attack, so to have the spirit to retreat and try to flank or wait for the turret to turn or damage the tracks and grab the opportunity. There is almost no tank that can't be destroyed by the same tier tanks (excluding some AA) This is what happen when you do not know your tank and the other guy tank. โพสต์ดั้งเดิมโดย Dame Avalon:but it seems there are tanks that have armor just too thick to be harmed by some vehicles they might potentially face. Given the choice between a reserve bi-plane against a higher br monoplane fighter, or a higgins ship against whatever it was that practically spewed nuclear fire on me, I'll take the bi-plane. Sometimes I get a few kills without too much effort, and sometimes I feel like I'm a hamster (er, a Higgins, god those suck when they're outgunned and spotted) fighting a couple of fire-spewing armored godzillas that just light up the sky in my direction. So yeah, I find air easier than land in that I (in low Br) have never felt there wasn't a way to kill a plane I was facing even when I"m out-ranked, but your mileage may vary.įleet seems to be a die toss. it's their big weak spot even if it's sometimes hard to hit, that not every ground vehicle seems to have against some ground weapons they potentially face. So what I'm saying is you could end up in a ground vehicle that simply can't kill another vehicle no matter the angle, but planes die if you tear up the pilot, no matter who they are. ![]() One-shotting the pilot seems possible in any plane I've seen, but it seems there are tanks that have armor just too thick to be harmed by some vehicles they might potentially face. Maybe at higher tiers planes become indestructible? That'd be a shame. I haven't been playing long enough to know what that is. ![]()
